HOW TO KNOW WHEN YOUR SUSPENSION IS DUE FOR A SERVICE FAQ
Suspension servicing should be part of your mountain biking routine. We have a famously fast turn around without compromising on quality so you’ll be back riding in no time!
How does regular suspension service effect my riding?
Everything feels better! It’s crazy how much your fork changes over the course of 1 year… in a bad way!
Servicing your suspension regularly can save you money in the long run by avoiding expensive repairs.
How often should you service MTB suspension?
Servicing should be done on a regular basis, we recommend a full suspension service approximately every 100-200 hours spent riding depending on your riding style.
Here are some handy calculations if you ride light trails eg: Dunstan Trail, Rail Trail etc
5 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 20 weeks
4 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 26 weeks
3 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 34 weeks
2 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 50 weeks
If you ride on rougher trails eg: Skyline, grade 3 and up
5 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 10 weeks
4 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 13 weeks
3 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 17 weeks
2 days, 2 hours riding per day = every 25 weeks
How much will it cost to get my suspension serviced?
It varies depending on how much needs done between $80 and $250
